VÄXAMINE EQ®is a highly potent and highly selective COX-2 and 5-LOX inhibitor that has been clinically proven to reduce COX-2 by 56% within eight hours of the first dose. In comparison to prescription strength drugs, during a recent clinical study, the COX-2 inhibitor used in Växamine EQ was tested against Vioxx® and Celebrex® to determine its effectiveness. The results found Växamine EQ™ out-performed Celebrex® as a COX-2 inhibitor (56% compared to 45%) and Växamine EQ™ was more selective in its inhibition of COX-2 than both Vioxx® and Celebrex®, which makes Växamine EQ™ an extremely potent anti-inflammatory as well as gastro and cardio friendly.

How Does it Work?
VÄXAMINE EQ® is a natural anti-inflammatory. It reduces inflammation by selectively inhibiting two enzymes that have been clinically proven to be involved in the inflammatory process. Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and lipoxygenase (5-LOX) are the enzymes responsible for the chemical reaction that creates inflammation. VÄXAMINE EQ® uses natural botanical extracts to inhibit these enzymes, which, in turn, greatly reduces the chemicals used by the body to create inflammation. In most cases, reducing inflammation results in a reduction of pain and swelling. This is a very safe process as VÄXAMINE EQ® is highly selective in its COX-2 inhibition leaving the COX-1 enzyme virtually untouched. This is extremely important because COX-1 is involved in the production of prostaglandins that are vital to the health of the body’s gastro and cardio systems.
The 5-LOX enzyme generates inflammatory leukotrienes, which are known to be potent inflammatory mediators that play a role in allergic reactions. They may also be involved in ischemia and atherosclerosis. Stroke, traumatic brain injury, and Alzheimer's disease have also been linked to the activity of 5-LOX and leukotrienes. The results of a recent study indicate that blocking COX-2 while ignoring the effects of 5-LOX may be counter-productive. In fact, using COX-2 inhibitors to block the activity of COX-2 may actually cause 5-LOX levels to increase further, making inflammation worse, rather than better.
How Long Does it Take to Work?
VÄXAMINE EQ® is extremely effective and begins lowering COX-2 and 5-LOX levels almost immediately. By the fifth day, a decrease in pain and inflammation should be noticed. Maximum effects of VÄXAMINE EQ® should be experienced within eight to ten days and remain consistent as long as proper dosing continues. Some horses may require as long as 15+ days to experience maximum benefits.
How Long Can a Horse be on VÄXAMINE EQ®?
Your horse can take VÄXAMINE EQ® for as long as their condition persists. Benefits will not continue once you stop dosing. Although VÄXAMINE EQ® is targeted at pain and inflammation; it can also be highly effective in reducing the ongoing inflammatory issues involved in the aging process.
SUGGESTED DOSAGE:
VÄXAMINE EQ® should always be given TWICE daily. If three tablets per day are used, give 1 ½ tablets twice a day.
Suggested dosages should be ample for most inflammatory conditions. Since it is NOT a drug and is very safe, dosages may be adjusted according to results. Increase the suggested dose until desired results are achieved.
Loading Dose:
